ROBYN STEYN, Writer/Director/Actress
Originally from South Africa, Robyn moved to London at 14yrs to study drama. Four years at The Brit School and BA degree at Dartington. Since then she has worked on stage, film, TV and commercials including writing and devising material for performance. Some professional singing, SEO content writing and a hobbying artist keeps her out of trouble. Lane is her first short film.
JOANNA ELY, First Assistant Director
Joanna is an award winning film maker and works internationally, with experience in both Film and Television.
MICHAEL SANDIFORD, Associate Producer
Michael is an expert at getting creative projects rolling. Michael has worked on every imaginable digital creative project. He has produced on films, directed live stream events, filmed various US political figures, created numerous websites, business branding and motion graphic projects. Michael has over the years developed an enviable worldwide network of creative contacts. He is also a prolific Digital Creative Consultant that will be bringing his many years of expertise to all levels of this film.
ROBIN WHENARY, Director of Photography
A graduate of the UK's National Film & Television School, Robin's feature film credits include Mathew Hope's 'All the Devil's Men', Amit Gupta's 'One Crazy Thing' (East End Film Opening Gala), Martin Stitt's award winning 'Love Me Do' (nominated for Best UK Feature at Raindance & Best Cinematography at IdyIIWild 2016) and Welsh BAFTA-winner Wyndham Price's 'Crow' (premiered at FrightFest 2016), and he shot the critically acclaimed BBC TV drama 'We're Doomed! The Dad's Army Story', directed by Steve Bendelack.
Other work includes Jamie Stone's shorts 'Orbit Ever After' (Encounters Grand Prix winner and BAFTA & European Film Academy Award-nominated) and 'Skyborn' (nominated for a Student Academy Award, BIFA and a Golden Tadpole at Camerimage), Adeyemi Michael's documentary 'Sodiq' (Grierson Award-winner) and promo/commercial credits for Boy George, Sainsburys and House of Fraser.
DAVE MASON, Underwater Specialist/Film maker
David has a long technically focused history, consulting within the marine and automotive industries for over 10 years and a first class honours degree in design technology. In 2015 he founded Dakin Productions which specialises in providing film with a technical bias within the UK. A venture that began naturally when he spotted a requirement for internal corporate and event video for the hugely successful UK brands Jaguar and Land Rover. The company also produces tourism and underwater film from across the globe. David is a master scuba diver and rescue diver with over 10 years of diving experience worldwide, and he loves to create underwater imagery.
'Technology, adventure and creativity are my three drivers. Largely this is expressed through travel, diving and film making. Most underwater camera ops learn to dive and then learn to point a camera, my goal is to take the art of film making underwater'.
ROSSANA MASUELLO, Lead Sound Recordist
Rossana is a passionate filmmaker and sound designer. She started working on film sets as a runner in Italy at the age of 14. From Denmark to London, Rossana has directed multiple successful short films, and worked on adverts such as Arsenal Football Club & Food Channel content.
MARTIN WAITH, Sound Recordist & Music Engineer
Martin graduated with a BA degree in Audio Production at London’s SAE Institute. Since graduating Martin has worked on short films for production companies such as Raya Films and One Umbrella as well as co-working on Sound Design for “Roadside” by Tim Wildgoose. Martin continues to pursue his passion for all aspects of sound and is happy working on recording, editing, sound design and mixing. Martin has since progressed to establish an audio production company called Reaal Sound Ltd which he operates alongside two colleagues.
RICHARD TARR, Stills Photographer/Light Assistant
Richard has a BA and Masters in Commercial Photography and specialises in Documentary, Photojournalism, Advertising and Travel. His Portfolio includes work for Tomfoolery TV, Sunseeker, Richmond Holidays, Mr Lee Noodles and Lulworth Castle.
A passion for producing images that tell a story together with a curiosity for the natural world, Richard has assisted world-leading photographers and filmmakers to develop, challenge and explore new perimeters of photography. Recently his interest has branched further to include filmmaking as a way to reveal truth in a frame.
STEWART BARLOW, Editor
Stewart has worked across many genres for all UK TV terrestrial channels including many across Europe and North America. His greatest achievement to date, he rekons, has been the ability to stay in work consistently enough to successfully bring up four children over three decades! The key to success? Keeping the cutting style fresh, contemporary and engaging; remaining passionate about the craft of story-telling; stepping into the cutting room every day with the mantra 'Today I know nothing and have it all to learn' and ultimately acknowledging that once shot, the material has a life of its own and will go where it needs to go. It's the strength of the creators' vision that makes a film - our job is simply to help it on its way.
GEOFF SMITH, Sound Engineer
Geoff gradated with a first BA in music at Dartington College of Arts and a first in MFA Computational Art at Goldsmiths. He has been a lecturer in Music Technology at Cambridge Regional College and Kingston University. He has also been a monthly columnist to Sound on Sound magazine as well as a Software Developer for In Music Brands.
As Product Owner at Akai MPC he conceptualises, designs and manages the development of Akai MPC Touch, Mpc v1.9, Mpc v1.8, Mpc v1.7, or for those who have no idea what this is, cutting edge music technology.
DALAL BRUCHMANN, Composer
Dalal is an Austrian born recording artist, composer and songwriter.
In 2011, where she began her musical career in the United States, she topped the Billboard Charts in the US and UK.
Dalal plays violin and piano and despite her mainstream pop career, her upcoming album is heavily laced with orchestral elements. An equally strong composer Dalal was nominated for her work for the documentary HAIR (HULU) together with her producer Nate 'Impact' Jolley. She also wrote a classical piece for the LIONAID concert at Trafalgar Square in London.
She is currently preparing the release of her classical EP 'THE QUIET HEART'.
JOEL GRIZZLE, Choreographer
Joel trained at East 15 School of Acting on the Acting & Stage Combat. Alongside acting he is also involved in fight directing for film & stage performance which has lead him to work on leading History channel show "Vikings" and many other Films & TV shows. He is currently fight directing on a handful of feature films and short films including the highly anticipated "Bluff".
EMMA LUNDEGAARD, Actress
Emma trained as an actor at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Since graduating she has worked on stage, on screen and in voice-over roles. She was a finalist in the BBC Carleton Hobbs Competition. As well as acting, Emma is a writer and stand up comedian, performing regularly across London.
CLARE McCALL, Actress
Clare graduated from East 15 Acting School in 2014 and has since worked on stage, screen, dance and circus projects, in addition to working with her own company, Atlas Movement Theatre. Clare is currently training for her MA at Royal Central School of Speech and drama and is excited by new writing and collaborative work.

She has her own music project which she describes as 'explaining the emotional results of the subject rather than the subject itself' and co-writes for a London dub/electronic band.
